As the 2018-2019 school year fast approaches, our thoughts turn toward preparing to best meet the needs of every learner and staff member in our schools.  The work we do every day is critical to student success.  I thank you for taking on this job, dedicating your life to improving education in Montana.  It’s a pleasure to be leading the MAEMSP organization as President this year.

The upcoming year is sure to bring challenges.  The safety of our students will be at the top of the list along with strategically working with students to cope with their mental health issues.  With the legislative session starting in January, it’s imperative we advocate for our beliefs and stay abreast on the issues.   Together, we can make a difference educating the children of Montana.

SAM provides much support for the work we do.  Take advantage of these resources:  SAM website, LPLP program, the many conferences, the Community Forum, and become aware of the resources available to you.  With all of us working together in collaborative fashion, success will continue.

Have a rewarding school year and do not forget that MAEMSP is your PRINCIPAL link to leading and learning. You can follow us on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/Montana-Association-of-Elementary-and-Middle-School-Principals-286309238203770/.
